🥗 Restaurant Watch: Echelon Kitchen and Bar, the new restaurant going in on the corner of Main Street and Washington (the old BD's Mongolian Grill location) has opened a food truck to the public during construction. The vegetable-heavy, wood-fired restaurant is targeting a grand opening later this year.

☀️ National Champs: With an 8-day, 2,100+ mile race from Tennessee to Wyoming, the University of Michigan Solar Car Team clinched the national title at the American Solar Challenge. Due to a damaged motor, the team was nearly forced to exit the competition early before members of the Principia College team stepped up and loaned them spare parts. Thanks to the kindness of the rival team, U of M was able to carry on and win their 10th national title.

🌲 Monuments Art Installation: This September 4-8, A2SF and the Ann Arbor District Library will present “Monuments”, a visual art installation where large-scale portraits of community leaders will be projected nightly on live trees in the city. Expect more details to emerge in the coming weeks - specific locations and leaders have not been announced yet.
