🍻 Haymaker Closes: After 7 years in business, Haymaker Public House (203 E Washington St.) unexpectedly announced their permanent closing last week. With a Facebook post and a letter on their door, the beloved sports and trivia bar thanked the community and their staff for their support over the years.

🏗️ Campus 2050: Last week, U of M released new renderings and an 8-minute video highlighting their Campus 2050 plan. A few of the bullet points to know (with hyperlinks to their sections in the video):
Easier connectivity across campus with an automated transit system
More access to nature with new pedestrian and bicycle pathways leading from the medical campus to the Arb and a reimagined Mitchell Field (pictured above)
A North Campus innovation district anchored by a new hotel and conference center
A dedicated gameday fan zone connected to the Big House by a pedestrian bridge

🚄 Train Station: After a lack of federal support derailed (pun intended) the city’s plan for a new train station on Fuller Road, city leaders have shifted their focus to reimagining the current Depot Street train station. While the project is still in the early stages, the city hopes to pursue a mixed-use development with possible housing built in.
