🏈 Michigan Football Preview: It may still be July, but football season is just around the corner. Here are a few quick hitters to know:

Glen Lake Association | Facebook

🐟 World Record Koi: Due to an influx of Japanese koi, the Glen Lake Association hired a bowfishing team to hunt the invasive species. The team removed one male and three pregnant females from the lake, one of which was 32 inches long and 24.5 pounds - a new world record for Japanese koi hunted by bow. Officials believe the fish are the result of unwanted pets being released into the wild.

🚝 Automated Transit System: With the release of an RFQ (request for qualifications), U of M is seeking design, construction, and operation partners for its proposed automated, elevated transit system. Spanning over three miles, the system would be completely driverless, have six stations spread out across the Central, Medical, and North campuses, and be able to support up to 4,000 passengers per hour. After the RFQ stage, U of M will move to an RFP (request for proposal) stage where they will select a bid to move forward with.

Netflix

🎥 Netflix Doc: On August 27, Netflix will release “Sign Stealer”, a documentary on Michigan football’s sign-stealing allegations, featuring Connor Stalions telling his side of the story. Part of Netflix’s “Untold” docuseries, “Sign Stealer” will be the first time Connor Stalions speaks publicly on the scandal.
