🥳 Social District: Last week, the Downtown Ann Arbor Social District expanded to run all the way from 1st Street to Thayer. Marked by specific wayfinding stickers, the social district allows visitors to enjoy alcoholic beverages in designated to-go cups as they explore downtown. Scroll halfway down this page for a list of participating businesses.

📺️ Michiganders On TV: Last week, Father Steve Jakubowski of Grand Rapids appeared on Jeopardy! The internet was quick to deem him the ‘hot priest’.

Also, Rachel Lamont from Dexter and Kyle Otswald from Cheboygan are competing for $1 million on this season of “Survivor”.

⭐️ Celebrities Campaigning: Last week, Jane Fonda was in Ann Arbor campaigning for Kamala Harris (and to order a Georgia Reuben from Zingerman’s). This week, Adam Scott (of ‘Parks and Rec’, ‘Severance’, and more) will visit as part of Harris’ Fighting for Reproductive Freedom bus tour.

🏥 Michigan Medicine Leadership: Effective July 1, 2025, David Miller, a renowned urologist and surgeon, will take over as Michigan Medicine’s CEO and the University of Michigan’s executive vice president for medical affairs. Miller, who is currently the executive vice dean of clinical affairs for the Medical School and president of U-M Health, will succeed Marschall S. Runge.
