🏳️ New City Flag: After hosting a city-wide design competition, Ann Arbor has selected a new flag. The winning design, created by local artist Dennis Scherdt, features a bur oak tree and is a nod to the city’s many parks, trees, and the Huron River. Expect to see the new flag flying outside City Hall soon.

🇺🇸 POTUS In AA: On Friday, President Biden stopped by the UA Local 190 training center (7920 Jackson Road) to sign the “Good Jobs” executive order. UA Local 190 is a Washtenaw County labor union of plumbers, pipefitters, service technicians, and gas distribution workers. The order calls on agencies to adopt new standards for supporting labor unions and established a task force to coordinate policy development. The visit, reinforcing Biden’s strong pro-union stance, highlights Michigan’s importance in the upcoming election as both Kamala Harris and Donald Trump work to secure union endorsements.

Personally, I’ll be sporting the unhinged werewolf on election day.
